Ruth Ellen Reuter a/k/a TRUTH was born on December 30th, 1983 in Sitka Alaska. After moving from state to state with her parents, her father decided to move to Russia so that they could become missionaries. So in 1990, her family relocated to Latvia in Russia. Then in 1992, due to civil unrest, her family relocated one more time to Moscow. During her years in Moscow, Truth traveled to exotic locations such as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore and Finland to name a few. During these travels, Truth was learning about the music and cultures of these countries, which in time would influence her vocal styling.

Until 1999, when her family had moved back to the US, Truth still hadn’t realize that she will one day become a singer, up to that point; it was only a distant dream. But then, another move another state, Truth decided to go for it. While she was living in Hawaii, Truth decided to try out for American Idol, and that was the beginning of her career. That audition was all she needed to make her realize that it was time to pursue her distant dream and make it a reality. So, she taught herself to play the guitar and violin in order to express her inner most feelings thru her music.

In 2003, Truth played a game of “map pointing”, whereas she decided to close her eyes, point at a map, and wherever her finger landed, she would then move there. Fate intervened, and Florida was her next conquest. While in Florida for a short period, and while playing in local bars to hone her singing skills, Truth responded to an ad in a local paper.

International DJ and producer George Acosta placed the ad, unbeknownst to her. At that point, George was only looking for a session singer, so Truth decided meet the challenge and see where it takes her. After their first session and after George heard her voice, they both realized that something amazing could come about from this fateful collaboration. So the wheels were put into motion, and they decided to write some songs together. Truth would provide the voice and lyrics and George would produce and write the music.

The single "Melodrama", has received critical acclaim, and was voted #1 by Mixmag editors in the UK. This should give you a little indication of what’s to come.
