KĒVENS

(South Beach, Miami, FL.) - Kēvens, pronounced (kee-venz), the ferociously talented singer/songwriter, is the first performer to bring rock and roll, Reggae dub, and dance music together in a way that creates a solid ring of truth and purpose to his music. His gracefully radical Drum and Bass in a funky Progressive Rocking Reggae style are one hundred percent live and theatrical. Kēvens is a man on a mission to bring all races, cultures and backgrounds together with his message that "Positivity is a Necessity." When Kēvens performs, the message of his mission flows over his followers like a towering wave. The wake of that mission has already made an enormous international musical impact.
Kēvens began his musical career as a DJ spinning an eclectic mix of dub, ska and progressive Reggae. He was the lead singer in Le Coup with Bob Marley's half brothers,Richard Booker and Anthony Booker. Le Coup opened for Inner Circle, Black Uhuru, Steel Pulse, Third World, Jimmy Cliff, to name a few. Kēvens has also performed with, and has been seen along side, many of the greats including Carlos Santana, Prodigy, Moby, KC and JoJo. He also recorded a few unreleased sessions with Bunny ( R.I.T.M.) and the UK based group, Hybrid. Most notably, his song "Freedom" has surfaced as the theme track used on the internationally renowned Ultra Dance Music Film Festival DVD along with "Traffic" by Tiesto, "Southern Sun" by Paul Oakenfold, and "Time of Our Lives" by Paul Van Dyk. Now is latest release " Don't Leave" has made on Itunes top 100 in less than 10 days.
Past performances include "Celebration of the Sea Music and Film Festival" in Key Largo, Florida, where he opened up for Steven Tyler & Chuck Berry, "One Love music festival" in Takamatsu Japan, Cyberfest in San Francisco, Ultra music festival in Central Park to name a few.Upcoming concerts will include, Atlanta,Miami, Bulgaria, Rome, Ukraine, New York and much more.
With his mission to provide the world with positive vibes, Kēvens, an openly poetic performer, with his uniquely exotic rhythmic underpinning, is taking people to a higher level of consciousness. Kēvens' new theatrical ensemble is a force one needs to experience. Through the dedication and productive efforts of his shows, Kēvens instills upon each one of us who lie within the radius of his vibrations, the need for freedom and higher values, the reason for that need, and the desire to fulfill that need. With Kēvens, "Positivity" is truly a "Necessity".
