Trance music has grown in the last years, but the best known DJs and acts come from Holland, England and Germany. Trance has been growing in the United States, but there only a handfull of well known DJs coming from the United States. Acts like Gabriel & Dresden, Markus Schultz, Filo & Peri Edgar V and George Acosta are some of the most famous acts promoting their sound to the world. However the United States is a vast country and there are enough unknown artsists, who are trying to break into the trance scene. Gerry Cueto from Miami, Florida is one of these acts, who is quietly getting known in Europe. In the last months, his name has been found in playlists of various DJs around the globe like Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Aly and Fila, Suzy Solar, John O'Callaghan, and Jon O Bir, just to name a few. His latest track is a collaboration with Bika called "Daydreaming" and it is getting not only major support from these major players, but from many other well-known DJs. "Daydreaming" is a track that will forever remain in your ears as it has a killer break. It will be out soon on Enhanced Recordings.
He started to make music at the tender age of four, taking piano lessons from his father. He later learned piano on his own and learned to play the drums. At age 12, he got involved with the whole tracking and Midi sequencing scene. He also was involved with tracking some Modplug. At age 14, he learned the Jeskola Buzz Tracker. His first release was as DJ Quartz called "Quartz". His first success in the dance scene was his remix for Deestylistic –" By My Side". Now he signed to various labels and the dance scene will surely hear more of Gerry Cueto in 2006.
